Lehmann & Troost emerged from the German company D. Lehmann und Sohne, founded in 1851, and the Dutch company A. Troost & Zoon, founded in 1925.
1958: The German company D. Lehmann und Sohne set up a Dutch branch, D. Lehmann & Zoon b.v.
1966: After a brief career with the company A. Troost & Zoon, A.F. Troost Sr. started working for D. Lehmann & Zoon.
1970: The name changed to Lehmann & Troost b.v.
1985: The England-based subsidiary Erms (UK) Ltd. was established. Ian Smith became the managing director in England.
1989: A.F. Troost Jr. began his employment.
1994: M.L.C. van der Lans began his employment.
1995: Lehmann & Troost b.v. was taken over by son A.F. Troost and daughter P. Troost. She was represented in the daily activities by her husband M.L.C. van der Lans.
1999: L. van den Bos began employment.
2012: Lehmann & Troost b.v. was taken over by A.F. Troost, M.L.C. van der Lans and L. van den Bos.
Lehmann & Troost is conveniently located in Waddinxveen along two highways (A12 and A20) and a stone's throw from the port of Rotterdam. This location has various individual coolers, climate-controlled warehouse, loading and unloading facilities, inspection and repackaging facilities, offices and an enclosed parking area to ensure a safe night for the drivers.
Lehmann & Troost is a family business. Active in trading fresh vegetables and fresh fruit. We import from all over the world and sell the locally grown product. Our sales take place in Europe. Our customers are supermarkets and wholesalers. Because of our dispersion in purchasing and selling, we have a good view of the developments in the market. This dispersion also ensures that we always have sales, independent from market conditions.
